Penticton Racing Canoe Club hosts two major race events per year: Duel in the Desert – an early season six-man and small boat race, and the Length of the Lake 100 km Ultra-Paddle race – one of the longest single day races in North America. PRCC hosts a number of the Okanagan Small Boat Racing Series throughout the Valley with the Vernon and Kelowna Clubs, namely Challenge Chasedown in August and late September’s Downhill Run, which is a downwind length of Skaha race. Once a year at the Penticton Dragon Boat Festival, outrigger paddlers also form a unique temporary dragon boat team called O’kaiI’Kika U’as (sound it out).

Held on Skaha Lake this race features a 15-18 km. OC-6 race on Saturday. Sunday is small boat racing over an approximate 11 km. course.
