Welcome to Penticton Racing Canoe Club’s 20th Annual Duel in the Desert, May 12 & 13, 2018.
Held on Skaha Lake this race features a 15-18 km. OC-6 race on Saturday followed by a catered meal and beer garden in the park to celebrate 20 years! Sunday is small boat racing over an approximate 11 km. course.
SATURDAY, MAY 12
8:00 am: Registration OPEN
8:30 am: Novice and Junior Race Meeting
9:00 am: Novice & Junior short course Race Start
10:00 am: Womens/ Mixed (Masters ) Race Course Meeting
10:30 am: Womens/ Mixed (Masters) Race Start (approx)
12:00 pm: Mens/ Mixed (Open) Race Course Meeting
12:30 pm: Mens/ Mixed (Open) OC-6 Race Start (approx)
2:30 pm: Lunch, Beer Garden & Awards at Skaha Beach Park (extra meal tix $20 – only available with advance notice)
SUNDAY, MAY 13
8:30 am: Registration OPEN
9:30 am: Race Course Meeting. PLEASE NOTE: MASS START FOR ALL CATEGORIES
10:00 am: Mens/Womens/Mixed Race Start (approx)
11:30 am: Awards

Big boat races on Saturday: $180/crew; Juniors $90/crew
Fee includes race awards and lunch. Please inform us of any dietary requirments. Extra meals $20 are available only with advance notice.
Small boat races on Sunday: $15/person; Juniors $10/person

- Which club you are from
- How many crews you are bringing and whether you are men, women or mixed
- The age division of the crews
- If you have a canoe to lend/rent to other crews
- If any of your crew has special dietary requirements and if you will need extra meal tickets.
